William Hunt @ abc: Today | 4 pm | Performance "It‘s The Flowers, Not The Vase"

In his new performance It‘s The Flowers, Not The Vase, William Hunt extends the research project „ I don‘t believe you, you‘re a liar“ he started during his residency at Camden Arts Centre London, in 2009.
Hunt turns the polygraph on himself and as the 1960‘s machines rolls out a paper chart of his bodily response he will use this as a musical score to interpret on piano. This feedback loop will comment on the absurd situations that can be created by the self reflexive, self questioning, philosophical and art historical positions that arise in an artistic practice.
William Hunt's performance It‘s The Flowers, Not The Vase
Today, October 9th, 4pm at Marshall-Haus stage.

On the occasion of the abc event program Nina Fischer & Maroan el Sani will present 3 films which have been produced in Japan – where both have lived over the past 3 years (2007-2010).
Generally, in their works Fischer and el Sani have been intensely working with different media such as film, installation, and photography. Some of their main interests hereby have been spaces in transition, blind spots in the urban fabric, or questions concerning the individual, the collective, as well as the mediated memory of spaces.
For some of their new works the artists have produced sound tracks by regularly co-operating with musicians in Japan and Berlin. Especially the fruitful colaboration with Robert Lippok has resulted in several works, as for example the music for Sayonara Hashima/ Spelling Dystopia. For the abc event Spelling Dystopia this cooperation can be experienced directly. The new works of Fischer/el Sani will be presented together with a specially created live-concert from Lippok, Nishimoto, and Martini which will create a dynamic play between the visual and the accoustic dimensions.
