Grimmuseum | Reto Pulfer
“Erinnerungshäuser”
29 November 2014 – 31 January 2015
Opening 29 November 2014, 7 pm

Pulfer uses painting, drawing, music, performance and language to create “Zustände” (= states, conditions) – moments of transition. These states are stable and yet ephemeral since a transformation into another state is possible at every moment.

Johnen Galerie | Martin Boyce
“Stellar Remnants”
28 November 2014 – 24 January 2015
Opening 28 November 2014, 6 – 10 pm

Wentrup | Dave Hardy
28 November 2014 – 17 January 2015
Opening 27 November 2014, 6 – 9 pm

Dave Hardy makes complex sculptures from poor materials. His works are made out of furniture foam and pencils, wooden sticks, glass and sometimes even pretzels. In one piece, a glass plate rests on one lonely roll of masking tape. And in another, thick slabs of foam lay gently upon each other to create “soft monument“ (2014).

Wentrup | Peles Empire
„DUO“
28 November 2014 – 17 January 2015
Opening 27 November 2014, 6 – 9 pm

The source of Peles Empire’s artistic practice is connected with the provenance of its name in the Carpathian Mountains of Romania: Peles Castle. The eclectic building from the 1870s is distinguished by its uncommon concentration of the most disparate styles – each room imitates a different era in architectural history.
